Job summary

Kodiak Labor Solutions is seeking a Civil Engineer with data center construction experience to support large-scale civil projects across Texas. This role blends fieldwork with office analysis and offers growth into Project Manager or Senior Project Engineer positions based in Houston.

Qualifications

• Data center construction experience required.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in heavy civil, infrastructure, or site development construction.
• Strong understanding of civil plans, specifications, and construction methods.

Responsibilities

• Support planning and execution of civil construction scopes including grading, utilities, drainage, paving, concrete, and earthwork.
• Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation
• Assist with CPM scheduling using MS Project or Primavera P6
• Track project costs, quantities, forecasting, and monthly progress reporting
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, engineering consultants, and project teams to resolve field issues
• Conduct site walks, maintain as-built documentation, and monitor project progress
• Support procurement, material tracking, quality control, and safety initiatives
• Partner with municipal agencies and permitting authorities as required

Kodiak Labor Solutions is seeking a Civil Engineer with Data Center construction experience to support large-scale civil construction projects across Texas. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys both field and office responsibilities and is looking to grow into a Project Manager or Senior Project Engineer role.

What You'll Do

What We're Looking For

• Required Data Center construction experience
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
• 3–5 years of experience in heavy civil, infrastructure, or site development construction
• Strong understanding of civil plans, specifications, and construction methods
• Experience with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project
  Preferred Qualifications
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or actively pursuing Professional Engineer (PE) licensure
  • Experience in water/wastewater, transportation, energy, or land development projects
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D or similar design review software
  • Experience coordinating with design consultants and joint venture partners
