Atlas Connections seeks an experienced Civil Engineer to support the design, evaluation, and execution of civil systems across data center developments. This role works with engineering, construction, and project teams to deliver safe, reliable, and code-compliant infrastructure.

The position offers involvement from early site planning through construction and commissioning, focusing on roads, utilities, drainage, grading, wetlands work, and site constraints in industrial facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Approximately 5–10 years of progressive civil engineering experience.
• Strong background in Civil engineering design, analysis, topography, and site development.
• Experience with civil systems for industrial, manufacturing, or mission-critical facilities is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and evaluate civil infrastructure including roads, site utilities, drainage, grading, and other site systems.
• Coordinate civil designs with architects, project managers, construction teams, and multidisciplinary engineering groups.
• Review civil drawings, calculations, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Provide technical guidance and support during construction.
• Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct site assessments and inspections to identify infrastructure deficiencies and recommend corrective actions.
• Support site due diligence activities, including wetlands delineation, floodplain mapping, topography, and site constraints.
• Investigate and resolve civil design or construction issues.
• Prepare engineering reports, calculations, specifications, and project documentation.
• Identify opportunities to improve design processes, constructability, and overall project efficiency.

About the Opportunity

Our client is a growing engineering and project delivery organization supporting the development of large-scale, mission-critical data center infrastructure.

They are seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to support the design, evaluation, and execution of civil systems across new and existing data center developments. This role will work closely with engineering, construction, project management, and other technical teams to deliver safe, reliable, and code-compliant infrastructure.

The position offers the opportunity to be involved throughout the project lifecycle, from early site planning and due diligence through design, construction, and implementation.

What You’ll Do

• Design and evaluate civil infrastructure including roads, site utilities, drainage, grading, and other site systems
• Support structural, geotechnical, and environmental aspects of projects
• Coordinate civil designs with architects, project managers, construction teams, and multidisciplinary engineering groups
• Review civil drawings, calculations, specifications, and technical documentation
