Job summary

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
  • P.E. license preferred.
  • E.I.T. with ability to obtain P.E. preferred.
  • Approximately 3–7 years of civil/transportation engineering experience.
  • Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D or similar software.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare engineering designs, calculations, plans, and specifications for civil and transportation infrastructure projects.
  • Support roadway, drainage, site civil, and utility‑related design efforts under the guidance of senior engineers and project managers.
  • Coordinate with internal disciplines, subconsultants, and external stakeholders to support project delivery.
  • Apply applicable state, federal, and local standards and design criteria to engineering work.
  • Assist with plan production, technical reports, cost estimates, and permit documentation.
  • Respond to review comments and support quality control and quality assurance processes.
  • Provide limited construction‑phase support, including responding to RFIs and reviewing shop drawings as needed.
  • Participate in mentoring, training, and professional development opportunities.

Description

What You’ll Do:

What You’ll Need:

  • Approximately 3–7 years of progressive civil or transportation engineering experience.
  • Working knowledge of roadway, drainage, and site civil design principles.
  • Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D or similar design software.
  • Familiarity with public‑sector project delivery and agency standards is preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments, meet deadlines, and work collaboratively within a team environment.
