Job summary

WHKS is hiring a Civil Engineer in Eagan, MN to work on municipal infrastructure projects such as streets, drainage, and utilities. The role involves design, project management, and client communication to support contracts and build lasting client relationships.

Candidates should have a Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering, 5–10+ years of municipal experience, and ideally a Minnesota PE license. Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D or Bentley CONNECT and a valid driver’s license are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• 5–10+ years of municipal or civil engineering experience preferred, pay commensurate with experience.
• Minnesota P.E Licensure preferred.
• Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or Bentley CONNECT.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Design and support municipal infrastructure projects including utilities, drainage, roadways and site development.
• Manage projects and communicate with clients to understand needs and support contract development.
• Prepare roadway and infrastructure construction documents including cross sections, traffic control plans, stormwater and drainage design, and right‑of‑way plans.
• Develop 3D models and designs using Civil 3D or Bentley CONNECT.

Job Responsibilities

• Design and support municipal infrastructure projects including utilities, drainage, roadways, and site development
