Job summary

The Axel Group is seeking a Civil Engineer for our client’s growing team in South Carolina. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career engineer to gain hands-on experience in land development, stormwater management, drainage, grading, and site design while working alongside experienced engineers and project managers.

You will assist with design tasks, perform hydrologic and hydraulic calculations, and contribute to technical reports and permitting documents.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Approximately 1 year of civil engineering experience.
• EIT certification preferred or actively pursuing.
• Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with design of residential, commercial, and land development projects.
• Assist with stormwater management and drainage design.
• Prepare grading, drainage, utility, and site development plans.
• Perform hydrologic and hydraulic calculations.
• Assist with detention, infiltration, and other stormwater BMP design.
• Use AutoCAD Civil 3D to prepare engineering plans.
• Review surveys, site information, and existing drainage conditions.
• Assist with preparation of technical reports and permitting documents.
• Work with project engineers, surveyors, and other project professionals.

Compensation:

• Salary up to approximately $75,000, depending on experience
