Are you ready to embark on a rewarding career in water resources engineering while being part of a vibrant and supportive workplace culture? We are seeking a Water Resources Professional Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will plan, design, and facilitate the execution of stormwater and water resources-related engineering designs. Your responsibilities will include guiding large-scale designs, leading watershed management plans, and conducting feasibility studies, all while collaborating with a diverse team of professionals.
Collaboration: Work with project teams to identify and develop drainage and stormwater management approaches for municipal civil infrastructure projects and various land development projects.
Technical Support: Engage in technical responsibilities such as water quality management, floodplain analysis, stormwater conveyance, watershed modeling, and environmental permitting. Knowledge of hydrology and hydraulics modeling and GIS is essential for these tasks.
Client Interaction: Attend client meetings to provide insights and support for various project tasks, ensuring alignment with client project goals.
Client Presentations: Assist in preparing and delivering client presentations, effectively conveying project ideas and designs to clients and stakeholders.
Project Management Assistance: Support the management of both small and large projects, maintaining project schedules, tracking financials, and preparing status reports.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a comparable engineering discipline.
Licensure: Professional Engineer (PE) registration in the State of Florida, or the ability to obtain within 12 months.
Experience: Minimum of 4 years in stormwater management and water resources engineering.
Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to ensure compliance with municipal codes.
Permitting Knowledge: Experience with permitting processes through local governments and water management districts.
Software Proficiency: Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (with high proficiency in Excel), ICPR 4, HEC-RAS, ArcGIS, or similar software.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of working independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high-quality work.
