Job summary

Parkhill in Oklahoma City is seeking a Civil Engineer EIT/EI to support water resources engineering design and development across civil projects. This role will closely collaborate with project managers and engineers to deliver effective solutions while getting involved in internal project meetings and site observations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Engineer Intern (EI) certification.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in water/wastewater treatment or related civil engineering discipline.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design and coordination of civil engineering projects related to water resources.
  • Support the demands of planning and modeling, regulatory compliance, and permitting.
  • Utilize AutoCAD and other industry software to develop and revise construction drawings.

The Civil EIT/EI – Water Resources supports engineering design and development across all phases of civil water/wastewater treatment projects. This role collaborates closely with project managers, engineers, and technical teams to deliver high-quality, timely, and compliant design solutions. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in both office and field environments.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the design and coordination of civil engineering projects related to water resources.
  • Collaborate with team members to develop proposals, scopes, and fees.
  • Support the demands of planning and modeling, regulatory compliance, and permitting.
  • Review project details to proactively manage risk.
  • Evaluate observations and systems that will withstand the elements on the installation site.
  • Utilize AutoCAD and other industry software to develop and revise construction drawings and technical documents.
  • Participate in internal project meetings and collaborate on timelines and deliverables.
  • Conduct limited field visits and site observations under minimal supervision.
  • Communicate project status and needs effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Other duties as assigned.
