We are looking for Estimator candidates with specialty concrete and civil experience in our DC Metro region to join our team!

What You Will Do:

As an Estimator, you will assist in the preconstruction process by leading cost-estimating efforts to produce accurate construction cost budgets and estimates. You will interpret the scope from schematic documents and collaborate closely with the project team. Your daily responsibilities include:

• Reading and interpreting drawings and project specifications
• Managing bid invitations for suppliers and subcontractors
• Surveying and quantifying materials from drawings
• Developing knowledge of estimating software such as Planswift and WinEst
• Understanding aggregate materials and equipment pricing
• Organizing quantity takeoffs for audits
• Reviewing contract scopes and dollar figures
• Assisting with subcontractor recommendations and project handoffs
• Communicating with subcontractors and suppliers for pricing
• Preparing proposal and clarification documents
• Managing bid submissions and schedules
• Recommending software and database updates

What You Will Bring to the Team:

Required experience, knowledge, and skills include:

• Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field
• Five years of estimating or construction project management experience, preferably in specialty construction
• Or an equivalent combination of education and experience
