Qualifications

• Applicants must possess a J.D. Degree and be an active member of the bar in any U.S. jurisdiction.

Responsibilities

• Represent the United States and federal agencies in a variety of civil cases, including employment, tort, constitutional and civil rights, FOIA, APA, False Claims Act and related financial litigation.
• Manage a high-volume docket in the Civil Division with trial and appellate work; conduct civil investigations, engage in motion practice and oral argument, take and defend depositions, and respond to discovery.
• Position may be filled in San Francisco, Oakland, or San Jose; indicate preferred office location in your cover letter.
