Job summary

OWN, Inc. is seeking a Civil Designer for our Dardanelle, AR team. The role involves designing civil projects, coordinating with engineers, preparing construction documents, and supporting budgeting and permitting efforts.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams on municipal, commercial, and subdivision land development projects and use Civil 3D, Civil Storm, HEC-RAS, and AutoCAD to deliver accurate designs and robust solutions.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of civil engineering and design experience.
• Experience working on municipal, commercial, and subdivision land development design projects is highly desirable.
• Proficient in Civil 3D, Civil Storm, HEC-RAS, AutoCAD and related tools.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Engineers to develop and execute project plans.
• Participate in the design and layout of civil engineering projects.
• Conduct calculations and analyze data to ensure accurate and efficient design outcomes.
• Prepare comprehensive construction documents, including drawings and specifications.
• Estimate quantities and construction costs to support project budgeting and cost control.
• Provide construction phase services by monitoring project progress and ensuring compliance with design specifications.
• Conduct reports and studies to assess project feasibility, performance, and compliance.
• Assist with the preparation and submission of permit applications.
• Stay up-to-date with industry regulations and best practices to ensure compliance and efficient project execution.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Strong organizational and time management skills to meet project deadlines.
