Job summary

OWN, Inc. in Northwest Arkansas is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to lead projects and mentor the team from our Kansas City Team. The role focuses on civil engineering design, coordination with clients, and strong on-site execution support.

The ideal candidate will have a PE license preferred, an ABET-accredited civil engineering degree, and experience with AutoCAD, MicroStation, and Deltek. You will advance construction document deliverables and help manage budgets and schedules.

Qualifications

• Professional Engineering License preferred.
• ABET-accredited Civil Engineering degree.
• Passed the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam.
• Ability to mentor and lead project teams.

Responsibilities

• Deliver the OWN Experience by focusing on Clients, OWNers, Safety, Quality, and Financial Health.
• Collaborate with project teams to plan and design civil engineering projects per client expectations and standards.
• Conduct advanced calculations to validate and optimize designs for accuracy and efficiency.
• Lead development of construction documents including drawings and technical reports.
• Estimate quantities and construction costs to aid budgeting and planning.
• Oversee construction phase services and address on-site challenges for successful execution.
• Generate reports and studies on feasibility, environmental impacts, and regulatory compliance.
• Prepare and submit permit applications with regulatory compliance.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Offer expertise in construction phase services, overseeing project progress and swiftly addressing on-site challenges for successful execution.
• Generate detailed reports and conduct studies to assess project feasibility, environmental impacts, and regulatory compliance, contributing to informed decision-making.
• Manage the preparation and submission of permit applications with attention to compliance with relevant codes and regulations, navigating regulatory landscapes efficiently.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Professional Engineering License Preferred.
• Proficiency in learning and utilizing technical platforms such as Google suite, AutoCAD, MicroStation, Monday.com and Deltek.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from ABET accredited program.
• Passed the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam.
