Job summary

Thomas & Hutton is seeking a Civil Designer EIT III to apply independent judgment on complex land development designs. The role involves preparing design calculations, drawings, and project documentation while mentoring toward PE licensure.

You will engage with clients and team members on multifaceted projects using Civil 3D and AutoCAD. Ideal candidates hold a Civil Engineering degree with FE/EIT and have 3+ years’ experience in land development design.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required.
• FE/EIT certification required or eligible to sit for PE exam.
• Strong knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform design calculations and analyses for land development projects.
• Prepare construction plans, specifications, reports, and cost estimates.
• Coordinate with project team and clients to ensure schedule and budget adherence.
• Mentor junior staff toward professional licensure.
