Job summary

Jacobs seeks a Designer/Drafter with 4–5 years of site civil experience to join our team in Austin or San Antonio, Texas. You will produce 3D civil models and design outputs for roads, drainage, and related infrastructure while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

You will contribute to project delivery, maintain Jacobs QA standards, and grow professionally within our global network. This hybrid role offers the chance to work across local projects and remote locations.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or technical drafting/designing.
• 4–5 years of site civil project experience.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil3D.
• Deliver accurate 3D civil models and design outputs for roads, drainage, and related infrastructure.
• Collaborate with drafting and modelling teams to ensure accuracy.
• Adhere to Jacobs QA processes and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality 3D civil models and design outputs for roads, drainage, and related infrastructure.
• Prepare drawings, calculations, and technical documentation.
• Perform design checks and contribute to reviews/assurance activities.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver coordinated engineering solutions.
• Support project delivery to meet scope, schedule, and quality expectations.
• Coordinate with drafting and modelling teams to ensure consistency and accuracy.
