Job summary

Hitachi Energy’s Grid Integration team seeks a Civil Design Project Lead / Civil Design Technical Lead to guide civil engineering for large HVDC and energy infrastructure projects. You will coordinate across the full project lifecycle with project managers, construction teams, and design partners to deliver safe, high-quality facilities for power transmission and renewable integration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of civil engineering experience on large industrial or infrastructure projects.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) or Structural Engineer (S.E.) license in at least one jurisdiction with reciprocity possible.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate civil design activities across the full project lifecycle for HVDC and energy infrastructure.
• Provide technical oversight of external civil engineering and design service providers.
• Monitor scope, schedules, budgets, and deliverables to ensure project success.
• Lead BIM coordination and multidisciplinary design reviews with internal and external teams.
