Job summary

TEEMA seeks a Civil Design Project Engineer in Raleigh, North Carolina. The role focuses on drafting, design, and research to support engineers and project managers in analyzing projects and timelines.

The incumbent will pursue mentorship to enhance plan presentation, reliability, and overall project delivery. The position requires a Civil Engineering degree, 3–10 years of civil design or related construction experience, and possession of a PE Exam or EIT certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required.
• 3-10 years' experience; civil engineering design or related construction experience desirable.
• P.E. Exam taken; EIT certification required.
• Basic knowledge of project proposals (scope, permits, budget, schedule).
• Ability to coordinate with outside consultants (surveyors, traffic, architects, geotechnical, MEP, wetlands, arborist).
• Strong time management and organizational skills; ability to mentor designers/technicians/interns.

Responsibilities

• Assist engineers and project managers in analysis of proposed and current projects.
• Seek mentorship to better understand plan presentation, reliability, and delivery timelines.
• Demonstrate project management of at least one civil design project from kickoff to closeout.
