Job summary

Thomas & Hutton is offering an engineering internship in Durham, NC, inviting students pursuing a Civil Engineering degree to contribute to land development projects and learn from seasoned mentors.

You’ll assist with site plans, water/sewer/storm-drainage layouts, permits, and drafting using AutoCAD Civil 3D, gaining hands-on experience and exposure to industry-standard tools. Schedule is on-site with a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Interest in land development and site design projects.
• Basic knowledge of AutoCAD; exposure to Civil 3D preferred.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to learn and contribute in a team-oriented setting.

Responsibilities

Schedule:

On-site: Monday-Thursday 7:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m.; Friday 7:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m.
(Schedule may be flexible based on academic commitments.)
