Job summary

Kleinfelder's Design Services team in the Mid-Atlantic seeks Civil Engineers/Designers to work on site-civil land development projects in Maryland. You will design layouts, grading, drainage, and utilities, perform field investigations, and prepare agency submissions.

This role requires BSCE from ABET program, 4–8 years’ design experience, EIT, and PE within 6 months. AutoCAD and Civil 3D skills are highly desirable; travel to project sites may be required.

Qualifications

• BSCE from an ABET accredited engineering program.
• 4–8 years of relevant site-civil design experience.
• EIT Certification.
• PE or ability to obtain PE within 6 months.
• AutoCAD skills required; Civil 3D experience highly desirable.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Design all aspects of site-civil projects: layout, grading, earthwork, drainage, utilities, and erosion control.
• Perform field investigations to determine existing conditions.
• Prepare agency design submission packages for reviews and approvals.
• Assist with permitting at local/state/federal levels and develop as-constructed drawings.
• Interpret applicable codes and draft technical specifications.
• Occasionally travel to project/client sites for tasks or meetings.
