Job summary

Kleinfelder’s Hunt Valley, MD office seeks Civil Engineers/Designers for site-civil land development projects across public and private sectors. You will design layouts, grading, drainage, water/sewer systems, perform field investigations, and prepare submission packages for agency reviews.

Requires ABET-accredited BSCE, 4–8 years in site-civil design, EIT certification and PE eligibility within 6 months; AutoCAD/Civil 3D, strong communication, MS Office, valid driver's license, and relocation

Responsibilities

• Design all aspects of site-civil projects including layout, grading, earthwork, drainage, and erosion control.
• Perform field investigations to determine existing conditions.
• Prepare agency design submission packages for reviews/approvals.
• Assist with permitting at local/state/federal levels and as-built drawings.
• Interpret codes and draft technical specifications.
• Occasionally travel to project/client sites for tasks/meetings.

Step into Your New Role

Kleinfelder is seeking talented Civil Engineers/Designers to work on challenging and exciting site-civil design land development projects (both public and private) in the Mid-Atlantic Region. Reporting to the Hunt Valley, Maryland office, successful candidates will perform engineering tasks in the site-civil engineering field through application of relevant design criteria, standards, and processes.

Responsibilities:

• Design all aspects of engineering projects to include layout, grading, earthwork, storm drain, septic, sanitary sewer, water, storm water management, and erosion/sediment control
• Perform field investigations to determine existing conditions
• Prepare agency design submission packages for agency reviews and approvals
• Participate with permitting at the local, state, and Federal level and the completion of as-constructed/as-built drawings
• Interpret and apply all applicable federal, state and/or local codes
• Draft technical specifications
• Occasionally travel to project/client sites to complete tasks or attend meetings

Qualifications:

• BSCE from an ABET accredited engineering program
• A minimum of 4-8 years of relevant design experience in the site-civil engineering field
• EIT Certification
• PE or ability to obtain a PE within the next 6 months
• AutoCAD skills requiredCivil 3D experience highly desirable
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office
• Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with co-workers, project managers, supervisors, and other team members
• Valid driver's license with demonstrated safe driving practices
• Local residency or ability to relocate at your own expense

The expected salary range for the position is displayedin accordance withthe Maryland Wage Transparency Law. Finalagreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.Salary range: $81,000.00-$109,000.00.
