Bohler’s Washington, DC office is seeking a Design Engineer to grow with a collaborative team shaping the future of land development in the Washington Metropolitan Region.

You’ll support site design projects from concept to completion, working with engineers, project managers, and clients to create practical, buildable solutions and deliver coordinated design packages.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of site design experience across residential and/or commercial or industrial projects.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to learn new tools and methods.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of site layout, grading, utility, and stormwater management plans.
• Conduct research, prepare reports, and support due diligence investigations.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to deliver coordinated design packages.
• Perform design calculations and drafting using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Support permitting efforts with local and state agencies.
• Contribute ideas and enthusiasm to help solve engineering challenges.

About the Role

In this role, you’ll support site design projects from concept to completion, working closely with engineers, project managers, and clients to create practical, buildable, and creative solutions.

What You’ll Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline

Actual compensation within this range will be determined based on factors such as skills, qualifications, and experience.

The base pay range for this role is $80,000 – $90,000 per year.
