Job summary

Gonzalez Companies in the Midwest seeks a Design Engineer to join our growing team and deliver infrastructure projects that improve communities we serve. This role is ideal for an engineer with 3 to 10 years of experience looking to expand technical expertise and take on project responsibilities.

You will work with experienced professionals on site development, water/wastewater, and transportation projects, performing design, analyses, and modeling with AutoCAD Civil 3D and related tools;

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required.
• 3–10 years of civil infrastructure design experience.
• EIT certification required; PE preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop designs, plans, specs and construction documents for infrastructure projects.
• Perform analyses, calculations, and modeling for design decisions.
• Prepare drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D and other software.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Support project managers with planning, scheduling and budgeting.
• Review shop drawings and submittals for conformance with design intent.
