ESP Associates, Inc in Raleigh, NC is seeking a Civil Engineering Designer II to join our team in a brand-new, modern office. You will assist with land development design, permitting, and construction observation for residential, commercial, and institutional projects.

The role emphasizes AutoCAD Civil3D design, drainage, roadway improvements, and coordination with a multidisciplinary team. We value strong communication and a drive to grow professionally in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.

Formación

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (BSCE) or Engineering Technology (BSCET).
• North Carolina EI/EIT certification required; North Carolina PE preferred.
• 4+ years of qualifying civil engineering design experience.
• Advanced working proficiency in AutoCAD Civil3D.

Responsabilidades

• Perform civil site/land development design, permitting, and construction observation for residential, commercial, and institutional projects.
• Design land development projects using AutoCAD Civil3D with pipe networks, grading, alignments, and cross sections.
• Prepare design calculations (drainage sizing, water distribution modeling, BMPs, erosion controls).
• Create site grading and drainage plans including roadway profiles and earthwork optimization.
• Prepare roadway improvement plans for projects involving NCDOT roads.
• Design road widenings, turn lanes, and intersections; coordinate with field staff.
• Perform preliminary engineering evaluations, quantity take-offs and cost opinions.
• Site visits and field reports; observe testing like water pressure and sewer tests.
