Kinder Morgan, Inc. is seeking a Civil/Structural Engineer to support interstate natural gas pipeline projects. This role requires collaboration across departments and with external partners, and involves designing routes, materials, and wall thickness for pressure ratings.
Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in the gas industry, familiarity with relevant codes, and strong skills in drawings interpretation, analysis, and technical reporting. The position is on-site at our Houston area operations.
The Engineering Design group is seeking a Civil/Structural Engineer to support interstate natural gas pipeline projects. This individual will be a technical resource within the Engineering Design group and must possess the ability to collaborate with a wide variety of people in various departments with tact, courtesy and professionalism. This individual will also represent the Company with customers, suppliers, licensees, third party engineering firms, outside consultants, and industry associations.
The selected candidate should have a mix of civil engineering skills and industry-specific knowledge. Industry specific knowledge would include understanding how to design pipeline routes, select materials (such as steel grades), and calculate wall thickness for pressure ratings. The individual should also possess an understanding of the types of equipment that must be supported.
