Job summary

Our client, a nationally recognized Am Law 100 law firm, is seeking Civil Litigation Attorneys to join its Livingston, New Jersey office. The firm handles employment, complex commercial litigation, professional liability, toxic tort, products liability, general liability, and other civil defense matters.

You will manage diverse civil defense matters, draft pleadings and motions, conduct legal research, take and defend depositions, and work closely with clients from inception through trial.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of civil litigation experience preferred; all experience levels considered.
• Active New Jersey Bar admission required; PA bar is a bonus.
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Excellent oral advocacy and persuasive communication abilities.
• Ability to manage assignments with minimal supervision.
• Trial experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Handle a diverse range of civil defense litigation matters.
• Manage cases through various stages of litigation.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other substantive filings.
• Conduct legal research and manage written discovery.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Develop case strategy alongside experienced litigators.
• Prepare for and appear at hearings and other court proceedings.
• Assist with trial preparation and participate in trials.
• Work directly with clients throughout the litigation process.
