Job summary

Gausnell, O'Keefe & Thomas LLC, a civil defense law firm located in Lafayette Square in St. Louis, is seeking attorney candidates for civil litigation in Construction, Trucking and Transportation, Premises Liability, Product Liability, and General Liability.

A Missouri law license is required, with Illinois licensure a plus. The associates will gain experience from a team with extensive trial experience and training opportunities, handling depositions, court hearings, and pleadings.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
• Active Missouri bar membership in good standing.
• Strong legal research, analytical, and writing skills.
• Excellent communication with clients, witnesses, and peers.
• Ability to manage multiple matters and meet deadlines.
• Commitment to ethical practice and client confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Involved in all aspects of file workup including taking depositions.
• Attend court hearings and prepare pleadings, among other responsibilities.
• Develop practical defense strategies and draft case evaluations.
