Job summary

Mortenson seeks an Operator to operate equipment per project directions while following safety policies. Responsibilities include handling a wide range of heavy equipment, thorough daily safety practices, routine maintenance, and strict adherence to work plans.

Travel may be required to support multiple project sites across the region. Candidates should have at least 1 year of related experience, valid driver’s license with appropriate endorsements, and strong teamwork and communication skills

Qualifications

• Equipment certifications as required.
• Minimum one (1) year of related experience.
• Current driver's license of proper classification and necessary endorsements as required by law.
• Strong teamwork orientation, positive attitude, professional customer service skills, and detail-oriented; ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and load charts.
• Ability to operate equipment by moving levers, shifting gears, depressing pedals, and maneuvering steering wheels; knowledge of equipment and their uses; basic mathematical skills.
• Ability to work independently with active listening and effective communication skills, open to diverse input and feedback.

Summary
