Responsibilities Include, but are Not Limited to:

• Oversee and manage all field operations on heavy civil construction sites.
• Supervise subcontractors, field crews, and vendors to ensure timely and accurate project execution.
• Coordinate and implement project schedules, ensuring milestones and deadlines are consistently met.
• Maintain compliance with safety standards, local laws, union requirements, and project specifications.
• Conduct daily safety meetings and site inspections to enforce OSHA and DOB safety protocols.
• Interface with clients, inspectors, and internal project management to communicate updates and resolve issues.
• Review blueprints, site plans, and project specifications; delegate work accordingly.
• Monitor project budgets, materials, and workforce needs.
• Produce and submit daily job logs and progress reports.
• Provide mentorship and leadership to on-site teams.

Qualifications

• Required:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a superintendent on heavy civil construction projects.
  • OSHA 30 Certification.
  • Strong understanding of NYC construction practices, utility work, excavation, and concrete work.
• Preferred:
  • 62-Hour NYC DOB Site Safety Training (SST) card.
  • Background in managing union crews and working on government or prevailing wage projects.
• Other Skills & Traits:
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction documents and blueprints.
  • Familiarity with construction management software and technology.
  • Strong time management and organizational capabilities.
  • Commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
