Job summary

Taylor Northwest in Bend, Oregon is seeking a Project Manager/Estimator to lead client relationships, manage budgets, prepare accurate proposals, and schedule projects for heavy civil construction work. This role requires strong math, communication, and software skills, including HCSS, Bluebeam Revu, and MS Project.

A Civil/Engineering degree and valid driver’s license are preferred. Responsibilities include budgeting, billing, change orders, takeoffs, pre-bid participation, and coordinating

Qualifications

• 4-year degree in Civil/Construction Engineering or equivalent
• Strong math and analytical abilities
• Experience via internships or summer jobs in equipment operation/maintenance
• CADD/Survey experience
• Proficiency with MS Office and project management software
• Experience with estimating software (HCSS preferred) and GPS/Survey/CAD tools
• Excellent written and verbal communication; valid driver's license; pass pre-employment drug screen

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain owner/client relationships
• Organize tasks to be completed
• Review and implement HCSS project budgets
• Code invoices to the correct budget item
• Track and manage change orders
• Create and implement project schedules
• Estimate project costs and perform takeoffs; attend pre-bid/pre-job meetings
• Review job costs with accounting and ensure safety compliance
