Job Responsibilities

• Review construction documents, scope of work, and discuss with clients to understand proposal requests.
• Build and maintain relationships with customers during bidding.
• Prepare estimates for large projects, ensuring accuracy and profitability.
• Manage all aspects of the bidding process.
• Develop detailed proposals, schedules, and coordinate drawings.
• Solicit quotes from suppliers and subcontractors, review scopes of work and costs.
• Identify causes of problems, gather information, generate solutions, and resolve issues.
• Prioritize projects and requests effectively.
• Maintain backup files of estimates, including current unit prices.
• Act with integrity, support company values, and focus on exceeding customer expectations.
• Continuously evaluate and improve project-related processes.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required

• Knowledge of estimating techniques, cost control, and material pricing.
• Problem-solving skills and ability to assess situations and generate solutions.
• Knowledge of civil, demolition, sitework, and utilities estimating techniques and compliance.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to perform math, understand financial concepts, and interpret construction documents.
• Ability to work independently and in a team, with a positive attitude and customer service focus.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft Project.
• Knowledge of B2W Estimate and AGTEK software (preferred).
• 5+ years of estimating experience in relevant projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field, or CCP / CEP Certification.
