ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
We are hiring a Civil Construction & Maintenance Engineer to manage civil, structural, architectural, and MEP scopes at a major heavy-industrial facility — from design review through construction, turnover, and lifecycle maintenance, with independent ownership of your assigned work. You'll coordinate contractors, field execution, and stakeholders to deliver safe, compliant, on-schedule results.
This is a rare opportunity to help build a major new Ascension Parish facility from the ground up — and grow with it from construction through turnover and long-term maintenance.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Manage construction of civil works, including roads, drainage systems, and reinforced concrete structures
- Manage maintenance and repair of civil infrastructure, and develop preventive maintenance, inspection, and repair plans for assigned facilities
- Select, supervise, and manage the performance of subcontractors
- Review drawings, specifications, calculations, submittals, RFIs, and change proposals for constructability and compliance
- Coordinate field execution, inspections, testing, punch-list closure, turnover documentation, and warranty follow-up
- Monitor contractor safety, quality, schedule, manpower, productivity, and cost performance
- Resolve field conflicts and interface issues across engineering, operations, utilities, vendors, and authorities having jurisdiction
- Manage cost control and lead technical coordination with project stakeholders
WHAT YOU BRING
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural engineering or a closely related field
- 3+ years of relevant construction, civil/structural, or facilities engineering experience
- Industrial or heavy-manufacturing construction experience
- Civil experience with roads, drainage, reinforced concrete and site development
- Experienced with inspections, turnover of civil scope, and construction cost control
- Familiarity with applicable building codes, OSHA requirements, concrete and steel standards, and construction quality systems
- Proven ability to manage priorities, analyze information, document work clearly, and collaborate across teams
- Working proficiency with Microsoft 365 and job-relevant technical systems
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
- PE, EIT, CCM, PMP, or a relevant trade or inspection credential
- Professional working proficiency in English and Korean a plus but not required
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
