Job summary

J+M Infrastructure is seeking an experienced Concrete Foreman to lead concrete crews on active civil and site development projects in central and southwest Virginia. The candidate will plan daily tasks, supervise operations, read plans, and manage crew performance.

Ideal applicants have 6–10 years in concrete work, strong leadership, a hands-on mindset, and a commitment to safety on busy job sites. A high school diploma or GED is preferred along with a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• 6–10 years of work experience in concrete construction.
• Experience installing curbs, sidewalks, pavement and stairs.
• Valid driver’s license with good driving history; CDL preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe site and ensure crew safety at all times.
• Plan, schedule and execute daily tasks for site and crew.
• Meet daily production goals and coordinate with operators.

Concrete Foreman

J+M Infrastructure is a rapidly growing Civil, Site & Utilities Contractor that excels in Civil Construction and Site Development with an emphasis on Utilities and Excavation. We assist with new construction projects by performing demolition, clearing, excavation, asphalt paving, concrete work, water mains, sewer and storm drainage throughout central and southwest Virginia.

We are experiencing incredible growth with multi-year projects now underway. We are currently seeking experienced Concrete Foremen for current and future projects. We are adding crews to handle our rapidly growing project portfolio.

Our ideal candidate has experience installing concrete curbs, sidewalks, concrete pavement and stairs This candidate must be highly motivated with a strong work ethic, possess a positive can-do attitude and be willing to get hands dirty and do whatever it takes to get the job done.

Work experience: 6-10 years. Education Minimum: high school diploma or GED preferred. Valid driver's license required with good driving history, CDL preferred.

Skills:

• Calculate, shoot, and set grade elevations.
• Calculate volume/cubic yards of material and tonnage for stone.
• Read survey and lay out stakes, read plans and blueprints.
• Operate equipment effectively such as, excavator, backhoe, loader, skid steer, roller etc.
• Supervise and lead crew.
• Manage and oversee job site and subcontractors
• Measure and order concrete
• Determine materials needed
• Understand standard VDOT concrete details
• Provide full oversight and instruction to crew
• Must be a concrete expert with previous finishing experience

Responsibilities:

• Maintain a safe site, ensuring the safety of team members at all times.

• Meet daily production goals
• Work as an operator while still leading the site and crew.
• Communicate effectively
• Be able to pass drug testing as this is a drug free workplace.
