Asphalt Project Superintendent

The Project Superintendent manages union laborers and operators on Heavy Highway Civil projects within the St. Louis Metro Area. Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills are required for our supervisors.

Job Duties

• Review Contract Documents.
• Manage and lead operators and laborers throughout the project.
• Schedule workers for daily tasks.
• Manage daily operations & safety for each project.
• Assist in data collection for billing.
• Review and approve materials and equipment.
• Coordinate activities, materials, procurement, and related activities with Project Manager & Field Staff.
• Communicate progress and prepare reports for stakeholders.
• Represent the company at weekly meetings.
• Schedule and oversee operators and laborers on each project.
• Supervise, review, and coordinate submittals.
• Build and execute projects according to plan.
• Some travel is required.

Qualifications

• 10 years of asphalt experience.
• Understanding of reading plans & specifications.
• Knowledge of IDOT & MODOT standards for road and bridge construction.
• Knowledge of pay items and job costing.
• GPS knowledge is a plus.
• Some travel is required.
