Job summary

Matrix Service is seeking a skilled Carpenter/Concrete/Civil Helper to assist in constructing, erecting, installing, and repairing structures using wood and related materials. The role focuses on carpentry in new construction, with emphasis on safety and adherence to building codes.

Responsibilities include interpreting drawings, planning workflows, selecting materials, and operating tools; there is also hands-on work with office furniture, fixtures, and supportive structures on site.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years or more in refinery maintenance/turnaround/or construction experience.
• General knowledge of basic hand tools.
• Must pass Carpenter Skills Test at or above 70% or NCCER certification.
• Must complete Matrix Service Safety training and Client / Site specific training.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain an active status within the DISA drug testing program.

Responsibilities

• Support safety commitments and Company Core Values.
• Follow instructions and prints for work in shop or field.
• Interpret drawings and develop fabrication/modification details.
• Plan operations, material estimates, and layouts for curved or irregular shapes.
• Set up and operate woodworking tools for cutting, finishing, and forming materials.
• Perform varied carpentry tasks including interior finishing and furniture construction.
