Job summary

Thompson Construction Group, Inc. in South Carolina is seeking a skilled construction worker to construct, erect, install and repair wooden structures and related components in accordance with sketches and blueprints.

You will perform tasks safely and efficiently to deliver high-quality results on project sites across the southeast and central United States. The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of construction experience, ability to read a tape measure and follow directions, and can lift up

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write and communicate clearly with supervisor/co-workers and understand direction from supervisor.
• Must be able to utilize basic math and read a tape measure.
• Must be at least 18 years of age and physically able to perform duties.

Responsibilities

• Constructs forms and chutes for pouring concrete.
• Builds platforms, barriers and hand rails.
• Covers floor openings and holes with plywood and guard rails.
• Builds boxes or crates around equipment for shipment.
• Cuts scaffolding boards and toe kick plates.
• Constructs temporary enclosures and work benches.
