Job summary

Baxter & Woodman is seeking a CAD Technician/Designer in Jacksonville, FL to provide drafting and design support across civil engineering projects, including municipal infrastructure and site development. You will transform concepts into construction drawings and models while adhering to CAD standards.

Key responsibilities include producing AutoCAD Civil 3D or MicroStation drawings, site layouts, utility plans, grading, drainage, and creating supporting documentation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of civil CAD drafting/design for site development or municipal infrastructure.
• Strong ability to read and interpret engineering plans and topographic surveys.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills, ability to multi-task.

Responsibilities

• Produce and edit civil drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D or MicroStation.
• Create site layout and grading plans; prepare water, wastewater, stormwater plans.
• Develop plan & profile drawings for underground utilities and infrastructure.
• Ensure drawings comply with CAD standards and project specifications.
• Collaborate with engineers and project teams to meet budgets and deadlines.
