Job summary

Westwood Professional Services, Inc. in Frisco, TX is seeking an Engineering Technician/CAD Designer to join the Land Development team.

You will create and modify design plans using CAD programs under guidance, contributing to various engineering and construction projects. Ideal candidates have an associate degree or equivalent, hands-on AutoCAD Civil 3D experience, and solid knowledge of engineering principles.

Qualifications

• Basic engineering knowledge along with current knowledge of industry trends, technology, codes and regulations.
• Intermediate level proficiency in Microsoft Office products
• Proficient in AutoCAD and other discipline specific software
• Possess basic mathematical skills and analytical abilities
• Attention to detail, self-motivated and a team player
• Working Knowledge in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat/Bluebeam
• Willingness to learn and grow is a must

Responsibilities

• Assist with drafting and design tasks for a variety of engineering and construction projects.
• Modify and create design plans and drawings using CAD programs under direction of a designer or engineer.
• Coordinate with engineers, project managers and other supervisors through all stages of drafting, design and construction.
• Create, edit, and modify CAD drawings in line with Westwood CAD standards.
• Plot, check, and file drawings and documents; support team collaboration.
