Job summary

Wilson & Company, Inc., Engineers & Architects is seeking a full-time CAD Designer to support the Civil Team in Las Cruces, New Mexico and/or El Paso, Texas. The role involves design tasks for civil engineering projects using AutoCAD Civil 3D and producing construction-ready plan sets.

You will work with staff to deliver roadway, drainage and site development designs from conceptual to final design, while meeting budgets and deadlines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Associate degree in a related field preferred.
• A basic knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D is expected.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operates AutoCAD Civil 3D and develops plan set deliverables.
• Plan set development, sheet organization, detail development and coordination.
• Designs to industry standards and state/federal construction policies, ensuring schedule adherence.
• Assesses project requirements, breaks tasks down, and supports the Project Manager.
• Produces drawings from sketches and input materials for construction.
• Calculates dimensions for subsequent production processes.
