Job summary

Harris County is seeking a Civil CAD Designer to provide AutoCAD Civil 3D support across civil and multidisciplinary drawings for roadway and park projects. You will produce complete plan sets from conceptual to final construction stage, perform markups, prepare figures, and maintain CAD standards.

Requirements include 5+ years of CADD production with Civil 3D, proficiency in Adobe Pro and Bluebeam, and the ability to work with a design team in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of CADD production experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D for civil design projects.
• Proficiency with Adobe Pro, Bluebeam Revu, Excel, and Word.
• Experience preparing plan views, profile views, cross-sections, grading, and volumes.
• Team-focused, independent, and able to complete tasks with minimal supervision.
• Commitment to producing work consistent with Harris County Civil3D templates and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Use AutoCAD Civil 3D to create engineering construction documents (grading, alignments, profiles, surfaces, corridors, pipe networks).
• Produce high-quality deliverables following CAD standards and project examples.
• Make changes and revisions to existing CAD drawings.
• Collaborate with design team, engineers, and admins with minimal supervision.
• Assist staff in using AutoCAD; troubleshoot CAD issues.
• Perform checking procedures and assist in training APMs and interns.
• Other duties as assigned.
