Job summary

Talbert, Bright & Ellington, LLC (TBE) is seeking a Civil Engineering Designer (Aviation) to manage existing projects and lead civil design for airport-related projects for the Wilmington, NC and Richmond, VA offices, with positions available in both offices.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in airside and landside aviation design, including airfield geometrics, paving, grading, drainage and utilities, and will plan, design, schedule work, and develop technical specs and bid estimates.

Headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina for over 30 years, TBE employs more than 95 professionals.

TBE is seeking a Civil Engineering Designer (Aviation) to manage existing projects and lead and perform civil engineering design for specific airport-related projects for the Wilmington, NC and Richmond, VA offices, with positions available in both offices.

The ideal candidate will have technical expertise in the design of airside and landside aviation projects, including airfield and roadway geometrics, paving, grading, drainage and/or utilities design. The position will be responsible for performing engineering duties including planning, design, and scheduling of engineering work; performing more advanced design, organizing, and developing design plans; and developing technical specifications and bid estimates. Work is typically done in teams, with extensive coordination both internally and externally.

Must be able to work on-site in our Wilmington office five days per week.
