Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.

Responsibilities

• Presides over civil administrative hearings for Dallas code violations.
• Issues orders and determines liability or non-liability.
• Imposes or negotiates penalties, fees, costs, and notices of appeal.
• Suspends penalties to allow compliance where appropriate.
• Reviews motions and responds to filings by litigants and staff.
• Administers oaths and examines witnesses and evidence.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.
