Spotlock in New Jersey is seeking a Survey Technician proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D to transform field data into precise deliverables for civil and construction projects.

You will draft stakeouts, DXF files, compute earthwork quantities, and produce accurate as-built drawings while coordinating with project managers and field crews. The role emphasizes attention to detail and strong data management, with teamwork and independent work balanced.

Qualifications

• Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D for survey drafting and data processing.
• Strong understanding of survey points, CSVs, coordinate systems, and data management.
• Ability to read civil, architectural and construction plans with accuracy.
• High attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with project teams.

Responsibilities

• Process and analyze survey data using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Prepare stakeout sketches, point files, coordinate files, and DXF files.
• Produce accurate as-built drawings.
• Calculate earthwork volumes and material quantities.
• Prepare cut sheets and field sketches for survey crews.
• Organize and manage survey drawings using Xrefs, Dynamic Blocks, Layers, and CAD standards.
• Review plans to support surveying and construction layout.
• Collaborate with project managers and field personnel to ensure accurate execution.
