Job summary

EMERY SAPP & SONS is seeking a Civil CAD Technician to create accurate 3D site models and survey staking files for diverse civil projects, including airports, highways, and utilities. You will work in a team environment using Trimble Business Center and Civil 3D to deliver detailed CAD files and 3D surface models.

The role emphasizes collaboration with Project Managers, design reviews for safety and operability, and maintaining meticulous records.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of civil design concepts, practices and drafting standards.
• Ability to read and interpret civil plans and documents.
• Experience with CAD design software and construction documentation.

Responsibilities

• Draft 3D site models and survey staking files using CAD software (Trimble Business Center and Civil 3D).
• Assist in design reviews for safety, operability and maintenance requirements.
• Collaborate with Project Managers and stakeholders to develop accurate designs.
• Maintain and organize records and files for projects.
• Perform quality control checks on completed designs.
• Communicate effectively with project team members and clients.
• Coordinate design and constructability solutions with internal staff.
• Work extended hours as workload requires.
