Job summary

Lionakis in the Bay Area seeks an Associate Principal or Principal to lead, grow, and elevate its Civic Project Practice. You will blend executive leadership, business development, and project oversight to influence firm strategy and build long-term client partnerships in Northern California.

This hybrid role offers mentoring, staff development, and a path to influence across studios while delivering education projects with excellence. Salary range $169,100-$230,500 annually, DOE.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, or interior design (or equivalent).
• Minimum of 16 years of relevant professional experience.
• Established Northern California professional network within justice, government and other public sector project markets.
• Strong leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills.
• California Licensed Architect.

Responsibilities

• Lead (or help lead) and grow the Civic Project Practice across the Bay Area and Northern California.
• Drive business development, marketing, and client engagement aligned with the Firm’s strategic plan.
• Provide project oversight as Principal-in-Charge, reviewing fees, staffing, and financial performance.
• Mentor and develop talent, collaborating across studios and disciplines.
