Job summary

City and County of Denver is seeking a Marketing and Communications Specialist within the Clerk and Recorder’s Office. The role leads creative storytelling for civic topics, shaping how residents understand elections, public records, and marriage licensing.

This position partners with leadership to craft newsletters, press materials, and major announcements, with a strong focus on social media, graphics, and video. A valid driver’s license is required and bilingual skills are highly preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications or related field.
• Four (4) years of full performance, professional level experience in marketing or public relations.
• Equivalency: one year substituted for each year of post-high school education.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategy, design, and execution of social media content across agency platforms.
• Develop visual storytelling initiatives including graphics, infographics, and short-form video.
• Draft press releases, media statements, talking points, and proactive story pitches.
