Arcadis is seeking a talented Interior Designer to join our Government & Civic Practice. You will design interior environments for public sector clients, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver functional, sustainable spaces that enhance user experience.

Role involves space planning, documentation, FF&E coordination, and adherence to accessibility codes, life-safety, and government guidelines, with a focus on delivering high-quality projects on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• US Citizen
• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Interior Design from an accredited institution
• NCIDQ certified or eligible (preferred)
• 5–10 years of professional interior design experience, government/institutional experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of building codes, accessibility, and public sector design standards
• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office

Responsibilities

• Develop interior design concepts for government and civic projects
• Prepare space planning studies, layouts, and programming documentation
• Produce design presentations, mood boards, material palettes, and furniture specs
• Create coordination drawings, specifications, and construction documents
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, planners, and stakeholders throughout project phases
• Participate in client meetings, workshops, and design reviews
• Ensure accessibility, codes, life-safety, and government guidelines compliance
• Incorporate sustainable design principles and LEED considerations
• Coordinate FF&E selection and procurement activities
• Support project delivery, construction administration, site reviews, and issue resolution
