Job summary

The City of Bentonville, Arkansas, seeks a FUSE Executive Fellow to lead the development of a citywide stormwater framework and an implementation plan that aligns infrastructure planning, land use, parks, and regional coordination to reduce flood risk and support resilient growth.

This two-year fellowship runs fall 2026 to fall 2028, beginning with discovery and framework development, moving into Year One implementation and Year Two scaling, governance, and sustainable funding within City

Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressive experience in organizational transformation and change management.
• Ability to synthesize complex information into actionable plans.
• Experience in strategic and operational project management.
• Strong data-driven, results-oriented problem solving.
• Excellent cross-department collaboration and stakeholder engagement.
• Effective verbal and written communication.
• Ability to build partnerships with government and community stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-department coordination to build citywide stormwater framework.
• Develop implementation plan and capital improvement strategy.
• Coordinate with Mayor’s Office, Engineering, Planning.
• Conduct discovery, listening tours and landscape assessment.
• Develop tools and processes for decision-making and risk reduction.
• Engage developers, landowners, and regional partners to explore incentives.
• Support governance, funding, and cross-department processes.
