Role Description

The City Transit Operator is a full-time, on-site role based in Lewiston, ME. This position is responsible for safely operating transit vehicles on scheduled routes, following all traffic and safety regulations. Day-to-day tasks include picking up and dropping off passengers, maintaining on-time performance, providing courteous assistance, and communicating route information and service updates. The role also involves performing basic vehicle inspections, reporting incidents or mechanical issues, and completing required logs and documentation. City Transit Operators collaborate with dispatch and supervisors to ensure consistent service quality and a positive experience for all riders.
