Under general direction, maintains official City records of meetings and activities and ensures their security and accessibility and provides administrative support to various elected and appointed officials. This position reports to the Mayor.
Provides administrative support to the Logan City Council, Mayor, and various boards and commissions, including preparing agendas for meetings, preparing/distributing information packets regarding all meeting agenda issues, recording/transcribing minutes of meetings, preparing City ordinances, resolutions, and other documents, and certifying copies of ordinances, resolutions, and other documents; maintains archival records of all ordinances, resolutions, and related legal documents.
Responds to citizen requests for information regarding City ordinances, resolutions, and related legal documents, including preparing and certifying copies of these documents when necessary; implements and maintains a system for indexing and archiving legislative information generated by the Logan City Council; conducts City elections, including overseeing filing for candidacy, preparing election forms/documents, and maintaining records/files of election results. Manage and maintain cemetery records; perform customer service; respond to general questions related to the cemetery; and prepare cemetery deeds and quitclaim deeds working closely with the Cemetery Sexton.
Process and track GRAMA Record Requests to assure compliance with Utah laws.
Administers Oaths of Offices swearing in various City Staff and Board/Committee Members; attest signatures on official City documents.
Other administrative duties as assigned.
