The Department of Medical Oncology and Therapeutics Research at City of Hope National Medical Center is seeking applications for a full-time clinical faculty position. The candidate should have experience in diagnosing and treating both cancer and blood disorders, to join our established practice in the Inland Empire, Southern California.

This position offers a rare opportunity to work within a 475+ member integrated, multidisciplinary Medical Group Practice serving an NCI-designated comprehensive cancer center in Southern California. City of Hope is expanding both in patient volume and infrastructure, investing in clinical, academic, and research facilities.

HIGHLIGHTS / PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• When fully staffed, the Upland practice will include a total of 17 providers:
• - 5 medical oncologists and 4 APPs
• - 6 surgeons (including 2 surgical oncologists specializing in breast, melanoma, sarcoma, and GI; hepatopancreatic biliary surgical oncologist; colorectal surgical oncologist; gynecologic oncologist; and urologic surgical oncologist)
• - 1 palliative care physician

• Effort allocation: 95% clinical, with potential involvement in all phases of clinical trials
• Cover one clinic location

PAY & BENEFITS

• Base Salary Range: $400,000 - $525,000 (base pay commensurate with qualified academic rank).
  • The salary range listed is exclusively for base compensation for full-time employment and does not include incentive compensation or benefits. Actual compensation will be adjusted for experience, training, hospital/community need, and other factors.

The accessible location of City of Hope’s Upland site puts our patients within easy reach of urgent care and laboratory services, offering convenience when traveling between appointments. City of Hope physicians are on-site to administer radiation oncology services. Patients at Upland have the opportunity to participate in groundbreaking clinical trials involving new drugs and treatments before they are widely available.
