Located in St. Louis County, Berkeley is a well‑connected community with convenient access to the greater St. Louis region. The community sits between Interstates 270 and 70 along Highway 170, providing excellent regional transportation access. Berkeley operates under a Council‑Manager form of government. The governing body consists of seven members: the Mayor, one at‑large Council Member, and five ward representatives. The City Manager serves as Berkeley’s Chief Administrative Officer and reports directly to the City Council.
The selected City Manager is required to establish residency within the City of Berkeley within one year of appointment.
The salary range for this position is $153,000–$165,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
