Ascendo Resources is seeking a City Manager / CFO to provide executive leadership for a Miami-Dade County municipality. The role combines CFO financial oversight with City Manager operations, guiding a $100 million budget and 650 staff.

The ideal candidate will have extensive government finance experience, GASB/GAAP expertise, and a proven ability to work with elected officials and community stakeholders. Relocation assistance is available for out-of-state candidates.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, public administration, business administration, or a related field.
• 10+ years of progressively responsible experience in municipal government, public-sector finance, accounting, or administration.
• Strong leadership in municipal financial management, budgeting, and government accounting.
• Experience overseeing large operating budgets and multi-department organizations.
• Knowledge of GASB standards, governmental fund accounting, financial reporting, and public-sector auditing.
• Experience managing senior leadership teams and large employee populations.
• Familiarity with municipal operations, capital planning, procurement, and financial controls.
• Excellent communication, analytical, organizational, and executive decision-making skills.
• Ability to work with elected officials, department heads, and community stakeholders.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee the municipality's $100 million annual operating budget, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
• Direct accounting, treasury, purchasing, payroll, and financial planning operations.
• Ensure GASB/GAAP compliance and applicable regulations.
• Prepare ACFR, financial statements, and audits as applicable.
• Manage cash flow, investments, debt, reserves, and long-term planning.
• Develop financial policies, internal controls, and asset safeguarding procedures.
• Oversee capital improvement budgets and long-term capital planning.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings and revenue enhancement.
• Present analyses and budget recommendations to elected officials and senior leadership.
• Maintain relationships with auditors, financial institutions, and regulators.
